Why We Built Paws4play
Paws4Play was created for dogs who need space, safety, and calm — and for owners who want genuine peace of mind.
Our inspiration came from one very special dog: Lillie.
Lillie was the cleverest, most mischievous member of our family — and the reason Paws4Play exists. She was reactive around other dogs, a brilliant escape artist (she had a talent for opening doors), and hugely athletic. As much as we loved taking her out, trips could feel stressful because she couldn’t safely enjoy off-lead freedom.
Everything changed when we first visited a private dog park. Watching Lillie run, explore and truly relax in an unfamiliar space, without the worry of meeting unfamiliar dogs, was a lightbulb moment. That freedom, in a setting that felt safe and controlled, brought out her happiest self.
We were lucky enough to have the space, so we decided to build the exclusive use dog park we wished had existed for her. That same goal still drives us today: to make Paws4Play the very best space for dogs and the people who love them.
Sadly, although Lillie was here to see the build begin, she passed away before Paws4Play opened. Her spirit is in everything we’ve created, in every calm arrival, every joyful run, and every wagging tail.

Calm Arrival and Easy Booking
We have designed the arrival process to feel calm and predictable, especially for reactive or nervous dogs.
Parking
- On-site parking for two cars
- Extra parking (2 minutes’ walk) is available on request
Your Gate Code
- Your booking confirmation email includes your access gate code for your session. Check before leaving home
- If you can’t find it, check your junk folder before contacting us
Car Park Safety (quick steps)
- Wait until the previous visitor has left before entering the car park
- Shut the main gate as soon as you’ve parked
- Keep dogs on a lead in the car park, and allow time to load up and leave before your slot ends
Reactive Dogs Welcome
- If you have a reactive dog, place the Reactive Dog Warning sign in front the car park main gate
